Meet Spending Bonus Requirements

So you sign up for a new card and you have to spend $1000 within 3 months of the card open date. Why spend $1000 on something you have no use for to gain a $150 sign up bonus.

A trick i have learned is to pay your utility company a one time payment using your credit card you need to make the $1000 spend requirement on. So you would charge $1000 on you electric company bill they should only charge you around $3-4 for this one time transaction.

Now you have met the spending limit and you get the $150 signup bonus. You also get points/cash back for the charge of $1000. Then in turn you can just run a credit on your electric bill and not have a bill for the summer.
